The Refugee Affected and Hosting Areas programme (RAHA) has been designed to promote regional stability and compensate for the social, economic and environmental consequences wrought on Pakistani communities by the presence of more than 3 million Afghans over the past 30 years. For the 1.7 million registered Afghans remaining in Pakistan after the large-scale repatriation since 2002, the programme is promoting peaceful co-existence with local communities until conditions in Afghanistan are conducive for their return. The Programme: The overall objective of the RAHA programme is to improve livelihoods, rehabilitate the environment and enhance social cohesion within communities of refugee-affected and hosting areas. Public services are being improved and policies made more effective by strengthening the capacities of the government, community institutions and vulnerable groups. RAHA is a five-year initiative between the Government of Pakistan (SAFRON/CCAR/EAD), the UN System, International Donors including Japan Government and implementing partners. Under the framework of the One UN in Pakistan, RAHA is a Joint Programme Component of the Disaster Risk Management Joint Programme within the UN Delivering as One. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The social mobilizer’s need to be trained by the Training and Research officer
  • Map the training curriculum
  • Assist in planning, designing and coordinating a detailed training plan taking into account the geographic and demographic diversity of the province and evaluate the impact of the trainings on need basis
  • Undertake field visits to develop training plans and monitor them
  • Provides coordination and facilitation to the PMU at province level for preparation of training plans
  • Ensure effective implementation of defined strategic goals for institutionalization of the Training programmes
  • Explore and evaluate need assessment for different trainings
  • Coordinate with outsourced organizations for conducting TOTs for the required trainings
  • Planning and executing the TOTs new trainers refresher courses for the existing Master Trainers/Social mobilizers
  • Prepare and execute workshops / Training sessions in their respective province
  • Identifying special issues related to her/his component for research and analysis for drawing lessons for replication and sustainability of the systems that have been put in place; Any other task assigned by the PM.
