The main purpose of this position is to collaborate with teams to implement overall fundraising goals and identify fundraising opportunities and researches new prospects. The position holder will also be responsible to ensure that high-quality; accurate reports and proposals are submitted to donors/partners on time, research and assessments tasks, and capacity building activities.

Job Description:

• Identifies fundraising opportunities and researches new prospects.
• Take the lead role in facilitating the design of Concept Papers, Expression of Interests and Proposals in relation to organization Thematic Areas for donor agencies, government departments.  Making sure that proposals in progress are in compliance with donor’s guidelines. To skim through Request for  Proposals RFPs online fast, and be able to respond quickly, work under tight time-frames.
• Ensure that all proposal designs comply with Donor Requirements, Government Policies, are in coordination and collaboration with chosen partners and meet organization standards
• Ensure that global standards (such as SPHERE, HAP-I, People in Aid, etc.) are incorporated into all relevant Proposal designs.
• Researching, conceptualizing, writing, and organizing ideas into a complete submit-able that addresses the requirements of the donor agencies
• Develop, update and maintain a research library in terms of hard and soft copy documents.
•  Assist SPC in contributing to the reporting requirements of the project and ensuring that all reporting deadlines and targets are met, also ensuring the quality of reporting
• Assist SPC in development of program data base and regularly updating it and contribute to the documentation of project activities
• Design and propose capacity building activities for staff and partners in reporting and communication skills
• Facilitate the conduction of baseline studies and evaluation
• Conduct case studies and impact assessment of various intervention
• Develop documentaries, promotional material and publications
• Willingness to work in emergency context and deployment in the field on emergency program designing and assessments

Relevant Experience:

• Master in Development Studies or Social Sciences.
• 5 to 7 years experience in INGOs/UN.
• Very Strong MS word, Excel and Power Point formatting and composing, proofreading and editorial skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Proactive approach with excellent follow up.
• Must be a team player.
