Geologist

Salary Range: Depending upon experience

Field (on requirement basis)

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum Master Degree in Petroleum Geology having at least 8 years of experience as a Geologist after completion of studies with comprehensive knowledge in Geological, Petrophysical and prospect evaluation from reputable E&P organizations.

Responsibilities:

• Review, evaluate and interpret G&G data and its modeling.
• Good knowledge on evaluation and generation of play, lead and prospect using seismic data.
• Plan / execute G&G studies carried out in-house and by contractors.
• Reserves estimation analysis.
• Provide geological input to multi-disciplinary projects, from frontier exploration through discovery / appraisal to field development and production.
• Identify, evaluate and recommend new prospective areas for exploration.

Required Skills:

• Good G&G interpretational skills for prospect generation and basin evaluation.
• Familiar with using Landmark, Schlumberger & PC based G&G software products and work station applications.
• Good understanding on structural geology, petroleum geology and sequence stratigraphy.
• Must be motivated with good analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Motivated to be a good team member.
• Able to make presentations for Manager and Team Leader.
• Must have good report writing, presentation and communication skills.
