Experience:

political parties and civil society groups desirable.
Main purpose of job:
The job holder will lead on conducting
political analysis in Pakistan, focusing on federal politics, and working with
other teams and our mission in Karachi to understand provincial politics. They will lead on maintaining and delivering
our engagement strategy with the new government and share knowledge and understanding
of democracy in Pakistan. The job holder
will be able to build a network of contacts to better understand political
developments and will able to travel within the country when there is a
business case, in order to further high level objectives.
Other tasks include;
- Increase the depth and breadth of political analysis through effective reporting of political developments;
- Lead on implementing the political team’s engagement strategy in Pakistan;
- Inform effective BHC engagement with democratic structures in Pakistan;
- Strengthen the BHC’s network of contacts in the Pakistan Government, Political Parties, Civil Society and Media;
- Inform the BHC’s understanding of national and provincial politics by visiting a variety of cities and provinces.

- Outstanding command of written and spoken English. Speaker skills in Urdu
