Based in Kohat,
KP province, the Field Coordinator, under the responsibility of the Head of
Mission, will in charge the global coordination and smooth implementation of a
WASH project in the district.

TASKS
DESCRIPTION
1. LOCAL
REPRESENTATION - You are the main interlocutor of Handicap International
towards local authorities, humanitarian actors and partners at Kohat level; -
You participate actively to coordination and information meetings (clusters,
NGO coordination, etc.) at provincial level; - You could be asked to represent
the organisation, its activities and programs during field delegation visits.
2. LOCAL
SECURITY MANAGEMENT - You ensure, in collaboration with the Head of Mission,
the strict respect of internal security guidelines; - You ensure a geopolitical
local information update: information searching, sources crossing, interagency
sharing information; - You participate or ensure participation to interagency
field security meetings.
3. LOCAL
WATCHING OF HUMANITARIAN CONTEXT - You ensure the follow-up of humanitarian
needs and share the information on a regular basis with the Head of Mission; -
You may be asked to lead assessment missions for the elaboration of new
projects upon the Head of Mission request; - You may be asked to contribute to
proposal and reports writing upon the Head of Mission request.
4. WASH PROJECT
COORDINATION - You ensure the smooth implementation of the WASH project with
respect to proposal commitments in terms of quantity and quality
(methodologies, indicators and results follow up, You guarantee the respect of
applicable logistics and administrative procedures; - You are responsible for
the transparency of acquisition, utilisation and follow cash dedicated to the
projects; - You organize field visits on activity sites on a weekly basis; -
You inform timely your Head of Mission of any relevant issue related to the
project implementation; - You are responsible for close supervision of the
qualitative and timely data collection and compilation; - You ensure a weekly
and monthly reporting on your activities to the Head of Mission as well as upon
his/her solicitation.
5. TEAM
MANAGEMENT - You are responsible for supervising a team of approx. 30 persons
(support and project); - You ensure the daily management and coordination of
your team (action plan, set staff appraisal, etc.); - You ensure the conflict
resolution within your team and inform the head of mission; - You are vigilant regarding
staff knowledge of and compliance with the internal rules and regulations,
especially with the ethics dispositions regarding respect of the beneficiaries
REQUIRED PROFILE
Qualifications and Experience: General profile with at least 5 years experience
at key management position within international organisations (field
coordinator, deputy country director, etc); Previous experience with WASH
projects is mandatory;
Skills: Proven
experience in project writing and reporting; Good skills in organisation and
coordination are essential; Excellent communication skills, transparency and a
commitment to team work are essential;
Languages:
Excellent written and spoken English; Urdu and Pashtu
CONTRACT
CONDITIONS Basic salary: Starting from 100,000 PKR, life and health insurance
package Contract Duration: 8.5 months, starting from as soon as possible
to 15/ 04/ 2014, depending upon funding) Considering the emergency of the
position, Handicap International may select suitable candidate before the
