Reporting to: Sr. Director Operations / Corporate Relations, Lahore
Grade / Title: D2 / Manager
Duty Station: Karachi
Employment Contract: Long-term / Annual Renewable
Work Week: 5 (Monday to Friday) Days - 40 hrs / week
Work Hours: 0830 hrs to 1715 hrs

Working Relationships   
External     Corporate Donors, Electronic & Print Media, Advertising Agencies, Individual Donors

Job Summary

The position shall be responsible for the fund-raising efforts of WWF-Pakistan through the corporate sector in Karachi. (S)he shall be required to maintain corporate donor liaison, seek potential corporate donors for conservation projects & ongoing fundraising campaigns and develop new initiatives to raise funds. The position will work towards creating a favourable image of WWF - Pakistan within the corporate sector by promoting its efforts and position on various conservation issues.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise CR team and manage CR office in Karachi
  • Assist in developing  a fund-raising strategy for WWF-Pakistan;
  • Meet the annual fund-raising TARGETS within financial & budgetary constraints:
  • Drastically increase the number and income from Corporate Membership programme;
  • Maintain donor liaison and keep a vigil for any potential partners in the corporate sector in light of their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) agenda.
  • Seek donors for the ongoing fundraising campaigns and develop new initiatives.
  • Work closely with other departments to develop project proposals and seek funding from corporate donors;
  • Work towards creating a favourable image of WWF - Pakistan within the corporate sector by promoting its efforts and position on various conservation issues
  • Establish good working relationships with the electronic & print media to enhance the               conservation / fund-raising efforts of the organization.
  •  Increase, individual and corporate membership through identification of potential partners
  • Promote brand awareness through marketing initiatives i.e panda merchandizing
  • Engage corporate partners through innovative and mutually beneficial approaches
  • Develop Fund-raising, Campaign Proposals and also edit and approve the content of communication material
  • Represent WWF-Pakistan at senior level meeting for all the Programmes of CR Department
  • Initiate new fund-raising campaigns and events
  • Channelize and maintain Communication Flow across CR department

Education, Experience & Working Knowledge
  • Masters degree in Business Administration, Economics, Communications or any other related field;
  • At least 7 years relevant professional experience (preferably in the development sector);
  • Familiarity with the corporate sector and other businesses / associations in Pakistan;
  • Experience / Expertise  in proposal development & creative writing;
  • Knowledge of the global and/or regional conservation arena, key players, and issues.
  • Experience of working in a multicultural / multinational environment;
